At Grizzard Living Aids we specialize in installs and repairs of stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, scooter lifts, and outdoor ramps that improve the lives of our customers by providing them with mobility within their own homes and/or outside their own homes. What makes us stand out among competition is our strong, and friendly 24/7 customer support, as well as our commitment to sell equipment made in the USA. The lines we offer are high quality US made and we realize the importance of this because we regularly repair equipment sold by other vendors that was not made in the USA. The difference in reliability is enormous. So whether you need assistance in picking out the best piece of equipment for your needs, help with installing the equipment, making your home or automobile more accessible, or need repair work done to equipment you bought elsewhere, we can help you, and we’ll do it with a smile.

We’ve been installing Bruno Lifts since 1993. Company owner Terry Grizzard owned a bike shop prior to Grizzard Living Aids. In 1993 a handicapped friend asked Terry to put a lift on his car. Terry volunteered to put it in for free. But when he opened the tailgate of the vehicle, he wondered what he gotten himself into. Installing can be a big and tricky project. He called the customer support number for Bruno and that was the beginning of Grizzard Living Aids. He found out about the extraordinary support of Bruno and realized that there were no other local vendors who were reliably providing the level of customer support that someone buying the equipment because of accessibility challenges deserved. He saw an opportunity to found a company that filled a need but also made a real difference in people’s lives. He decided to go into the business. All these years later, he still works with the Bruno Independent Living Aids, a family owned company itself, because they have the industry’s  best customer and technical support.

In 2004 a friend of Terry’s daughter called and said that her father had an amputation. They had made him an apartment in the basement but they had to drive him from the basement to the upstairs front door for any interaction with him in the main part of the home. The result was that there was a social barrier. The father stopped actively socializing with the rest of the family. This led Terry to begin doing stairlifts, starting with this project. He saw firsthand how important it is & what a difference the mobility and connectivity of the access provided  by stairlifts made to the family and their relationships. In fact, the first time he did one, he did two in one day.  Knowing he had the technical support from Bruno made all the difference and gave him the confidence to tackle a whole new area of service. Those first stairlifts installed about 10 years ago are still in use.
